WOW FACTOR: 150 Years of Collecting Bold Clothes is the WRHS’s 150th Anniversary Exhibition. The galleries will be open until April 22, 2018 in the Chisholm Halle Costume Wing. If you haven’t had the opportunity to check out this wonderful exhibition, you still have time!

MMC was able to go behind the scenes for a closer look at these beautiful garments.

One of Phyllis Peckham’s legacies is the fashion she left to the WRHS. She would have worn this Oscar de la Renta gown to one of the many theater openings in Cleveland’s Playhouse Square. The heavy embellishment and historically inspired lace trimmings add humor to an otherwise simple dress.

The jeweled feline design and flowing feathers epitomized Sarah Sato’s love of whimsy and drama. The designer George Halley was known for these qualities and his glamorous evening wear – which might surprise those who knew him while growing up on a farm in Alliance, Ohio.

From Christian Dior to Oscar de la Renta, and Audrey Hepburn to LeBron James, you will see fifteen decades of fashion icons. Don’t miss WOW FACTOR ~ 150 Years of Collecting Bold Clothes.
